I have visited The Great City London for three times. Every time I visit this city, it starts taking my mind towards it.
I first went there last year. Spent an entire weekend. It was the summer time, and the temperature went high to 32C. It was very tiresome, perspiring and breath-taking tour. My friend - Karthik accompanied me. I am always thankful to him that he requested his cousine - Mahesh for a night's stay at his home. And I am thankful to Mahesh, that he happily welcomed us on Saturday night.
We started from the very symbolic monument which is equivalent to London itself.
The Tower Of London..!!

This monument depicts the Spirit of London. We waited in a long queue, bought our tickets and went in. I had craved long to see the Ko-Hi-Noor diamond and The Juwel Crown of Indian Empire. I have never seen so much of wealth in my entire life..!! Then we had a small photo session in the premises of Tower Of London, and then went on the world-famous Tower Bridge.

People often mistake Tower Bridge with London Bridge. Although both the bridges join the banks of River Thames, but London Bridge is a very simple bridge, just like any other bridge in the world. The Tower Bridge is the most celebrated icon, along with the Statue of Liberty. From there, we walked down to the London Bridge. In my childhood, I had played a game called 'London Bridge is falling down..'. I dont think London Bridge will ever fall down ..!!

Then we came down to the very heart of London.. The Great Houses of Parliament and the Tower of Big Ben, whose fame can be matched with that of the Aifel Tower only. The buzziest, crowdiest, flushing and noisiest area in London is the Parliament Square.

We also enjoyed the ride of the London Eye - Millenium Wheel. London looks awesome, when the wheel reaches its peak.. Amazing view of Waterloo International, Parliament and River Thames made us forget all our tiredness.

After this, we went to St. James Park, where we literally slept for two hours.. This was very important as we went on to see the Queen's Palace - The Buckingham Palace. I liked it, but we didn't go inside.

Then we went to Mahesh's place. We had spent almost 2 and a half months in UK, and haven't had proper authentic Indian Food so far. So Mahesh took us to Wembley, where we found that it was a 'Mini-India' within London. There is a fantastic Indian Restaurent there (I don't remember it's name, though), where we had stomachful of dinner and came back with filled stomach and happy minds. This was it for Saturday. We went on to sleep quite quickly, and the Sunday Rose...
On Sunday, our major plan was to go the Madame Tussauds' Wax Museum. We spent almost 2 hours in queue to buy tickets and then an hour to enter The Magnificent Place. I hadn't seen so much crowd - at one place - anywhere in London. The museum is fascinating..

Many people like the wax statues kept in this museum, but what I liked most, is the show of ' Spirit Of London'.. It was a spectacular show of lights, sounds and colours and it took us to the ancient times when London was just becoming famous. I also liked the wax statues especially of some Hollywood stars and sports personnels.
We hadn't planned anything in particular after the visit to the Museum, but have just decided to roam around freely. We went the very centre of London - the Piccadily Circus - The celebration of youth and happiness, the statue of God Of Desire Eros, amazing theaters, The biggest Sports Shopp - LilyWhite, and then to the largest Toy Store Hamleys'.
By the time, we are done, we were totally out of our strengh, and were craving for some rest. Still we went on to catch the train back to our hotel in Peterborough.
But this very first visit to London will be a long cherished moment of my life.
